Introduction †This site provides information of Language Grid Toolbox.
What is Language Grid Toolbox †Language Grid Toolbox provides a series of multilingual collaboration tools. With Language Grid Toolbox, anyone can enjoy multilingual communication through a web browser. Toolbox provides basic functions for multilingual communication including BBS, text translation and so on. Currently, a trial site of Toolbox is provided that anyone can use. You can consider using Toolbox for multilingual communication activities after trying Toolbox functions. If you want to use Toolbox in real multilingual communication activities after trying the trial site, we also provide special Toolbox environments for you. Please contact langrid [at] khn.nict.go.jp (replace [at] with @) for detailed information. Features of Language Grid Toolbox †Since Toolbox is developed based on the open source environment CMS (Contents Management System) XOOPS Cube, Toolbox is also provided as open source software. Hosting service †We provide hosting service for organizations that participate in the Language Grid to have their own Toolbox. How to install your own Language Grid Toolbox †Since Toolbox is open source, communities that require multilingual communication can operate Toolbox themselves by installing the source package provided on this site. Open source project †The development of Toolbox is going to be managed by the open source project from April 2010. The policies of the project are announced and the latest version of source code are available at Open Source Project Site. The community site for the open source project is also provide using Toolbox. You can discuss policies of the project and report requests and bugs at the site.
