Web Service

Language resources are registered as Web services equipped with standard interface based on the "language service ontology."

To build the Language Grid, various language resources and language processing functions need to be processed into Web services. This process is called wrapping.

For the wrapping, language service ontology is necessary, that standardizes interfaces of language resources such as machine translators or dictionaries. Language Grid Project is developing the ontology in collaboration with DFKI in Germany and CNR in Italy.
